Dickey gave up three runs -- one of them earned -- on five hits over six innings while striking out six and walking two in a no-decision against the visiting Red Sox. The 39-year-old knuckleballer was let off the hook on what would have been his 13th loss of the season by Jose Bautista, who went yard in the seventh to tie the game 4-4. It will be interesting to see how Dickey performs in the season's final month -- especially if the Jays play themselves out of the playoff hunt completely -- and if he can finish above .500 for the fifth time in his 12-year career. For now, his ERA sits at 4.00 to go with a 1.31 WHIP and 147 strikeouts in 175.2 innings (28 starts) this season.
