McLouth (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Saturday. This is just a procedural move to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Nate Schierholtz, as McLouth has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder earlier in the week. McLouth is expected to be ready for spring training.
