Papelbon picked up his 30th save of the season, the 8th time in the last nine seasons he's had at least 30, by closing out the Mariners Wednesday pitching a scoreless ninth and striking out two. Papelbon has never been the most popular player, but he's put together some very impressive numbers over his career and now has 315 saves to go with a 2.34 career ERA and 1.02 career WHIP.
