Tulowitzki (hip) underwent successful labral repair surgery Friday. After discussing his treatment options with a specialist, Tulowitzki opted for surgery and he will miss the rest of this season as a result. Given his five-month estimated recovery timetable, it's at least possible Tulowitzki could remain limited into the initial weeks of spring training, but the 29-year-old is likely aiming to be ready for Opening Day. While the per-game offensive production is certainly elite, especially from the shortstop position, Tulowitzki's injury history should once again temper expectations heading into 2015.
