Infante is out of the lineup Thursday against the Athletics, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports. Infante hasn't had a day off since July 6, so a maintenance day was likely overdue. Despite four multi-hit games in August, he's still hitting just .229 on the month, and .260 on the season. He logged hit No. 100 in Wednesday's game, but will rest Thursday in favor of Christian Colon.
