Kimbrel recorded his 34th save of the season in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Nationals, striking out one while retiring the side in order during a scoreless ninth inning. Even though he was on the mound for the third consecutive night, Kimbrel was in typical dominant form Sunday versus the Nationals. The All-Star closer needed just nine pitches (eight strikes) in order to preserve a 3-1 advantage over the NL East leaders and showed little sign of fatigue. With that said, it is highly unlikely that Manager Fredi Gonzalez would elect to deploy Kimbrel during Monday's bout with the Dodgers.
