Jaime Garcia will undergo thoracic outlet syndrome surgery on Friday. The news was expected, but Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak made it official on Tuesday. Garcia will obviously be sidelined for the remainder of the 2014, but he's hoping to be ready for spring training. The left-hander is owed $9.25 million in 2015 but won't be guaranteed a spot in the rotation.
