Athletics placed RHP Jarrod Parker on the 60-day disabled list with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Parker is set to undergo the second Tommy John surgery of his career on Monday. He won't be a factor again for the Athletics until the early part of the 2015 season. It's a brutal blow, but that good news is that he's still just 25 years old.
