Jarrod Parker's Tommy John surgery on his right elbow has been moved up a day and will now be performed on Monday. Dr. James Andrews will wield the scalpel in Florida during a procedure originally expected to take place on March 25. This is Parker's second Tommy John surgery. Once a death sentence for pitchers, recent studies suggest that success for pitchers coming off a second TJ procedure is rising. With A.J. Griffin (elbow) also on the shelf, Jesse Chavez and Tommy Milone are expected to fill the final two spots in Oakland's rotation.
