Rangers optioned LHP Joseph Ortiz to Triple-A Round Rock. Ortiz has registered a decent 3.96 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 22/8 K/BB ratio in 36 1/3 innings this season with the Rangers. He will probably return within a few weeks.
