Verlander left Friday's start with a cramp in his right triceps, and he is not expected to miss his next outing, Lynn G. Henning of The Detroit News reports. While the initial diagnosis is favorable, the Tigers will further evaluate Verlander on Saturday. If it's confirmed to be nothing more than a cramp, the veteran right-hander should be ready for Opening Day. Verlander called for a trainer in the third inning of Friday's game, after covering first base on a ground ball.
