Tulowitzki was scratched from Saturday's Cactus League game but merely for rest purposes, MLB.com reports. "He's fine," manager Walt Weiss said. "I was just mapping out his workload. I just made a decision to give him a day today, as opposed to playing him back-to-back. It had nothing to do with how he felt physically." Tulowitzki began playing in spring games sooner than the team expected following August hip surgery, and it sounds like Weiss just wanted to pump the brakes ever so slightly and give the 30-year-old shortstop a day to rest his legs. While Tulowitzki has just three hits in 14 spring at-bats to this point (.214 average), two of those three hits have left the yard.
