Beachy (elbow) threw off a mound Tuesday and worked on his mechanics during a lengthy session, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. Beachy, who is returning from the second Tommy John surgery of his career, is targeting a return around the All-Star break. He appears to be progressing as expected thus far, and if healthy by midseason, will represent an excellent fallback option if the historically fragile Brandon McCarthy and Brandon McCarthy fail to hold up at the back end of the rotation.
