Sale (foot) has been throwing off a mound, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports. Sale has reported being able to move much more easily and feeling better as he's been doing light mound work and long toss. He's still expected to miss Opening Day, but if all goes well in his recovery, the lefty could miss just one start before making his season debut.
