Manager Matt Williams indicated Wednesday that Sale (foot) won't be ready for Opening Day, the Chicago Tribune reports. Sale suffered an avulsion fracture and sprained ankle at his home Feb. 27, and the injury will keep him sidelined through the beginning of the season. However, Williams suggested that Sale could be in line to start April 12 against the Twins, which would basically mean he will skip one start before making his debut. It shouldn't cost owners much time, but it's worth noting that his season will be starting a bit later than other aces around the league.
