Morneau recorded his first hit of the spring in Tuesday's Cactus League game against the Mariners, notching a double. Morneau has appeared in four of the Rockies' six Cactus League games, but that's mainly been out of an effort to keep him fresh heading into the regular season. This isn't the 33-year-old's first rodeo, so expect the Rockies to rest him heavily during spring training, which shouldn't impact his standing heading into drafts. Now well removed from the concussions that marred his latter years with the Twins, Morneau looked rejuvenated with the move to the Rockies last season, leading the NL with a .319 average. His contributions in the runs and RBI categories could even notice an upward climb if the Rockies are able to get even close to full health from Troy Tulowitzki and/or Carlos Gonzalez this season.
