Tulowitzki (hip) is expected to begin running the bases next week, MLB.com reports. Both Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez (knee) have been ruled out for the Rockies' Cactus League opener, but both players have been working out on the field without pain and manager Walt Weiss said the team has been "very encouraged" by their progress. Tulowitzki has been taking fielding practice -- he was even seen diving for a groundball Saturday morning -- and there's a chance he could be cleared to run the bases early in the week if all goes well.
