Reyes focused on strengthening his legs this offseason to avoid the injury issues he dealt with throughout 2014, Sportsnet.ca reports. A hamstring injury suffered late in spring training pushed Reyes to the disabled list in April, and while he returned in the middle of the month, the ailment bothered him all year. Additionally, a shoulder injury impacted Reyes defensively, and he revealed that a three-week stretch after the All-Star break following a cortisone shot was the only time last season that he felt close to healthy. Leading off for a loaded Toronto lineup again, Reyes could push his numbers back up slightly this season with improved health, but even his dinged-up performance last year (.287/.328/.398, 30-for-32 SB, nine HR, 51 RBI) carried plenty of value.
