Parker (elbow) threw 40 pitches in a side session on Tuesday, including throwing his curve ball for the first time since Tommy John surgery, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Rehabbing from his second Tommy John surgery, Parker is now up to 95% effort on his fastball and all accounts have been that he looks very good so far. Parker is expected to return to the A's in June, although it is still undecided whether that will be in the rotation or if the A's may ease him back with a stint in the bullpen.
