The Orioles appear to have a deal in place for Cabrera (hamstring), MASN Sports reports. The deal is pending Cabrera's physical and the Orioles are also seeking more information on what might happen if he faces a conviction for driving under the influence of marijuana following a September, 2014 arrest. Jail time appears to be a possibility. If Cabrera signs, he could threaten Jonathan Schoop for the starting second base job or Ryan Flaherty for the utility infielder job. Cabrera has had lingering hamstring issues, which led to him playing in just 90 games. If he plays full time, Cabrera can lead the league in steals, but the Orioles were last in MLB in stolen bases in 2014. It does not appear the team places much emphasis on speed on the basepaths.
