Jay signed a two-year contract with the Cardinals on Monday, avoiding arbitration in each of those seasons. The terms of the contract were not immediately available, but it seems the Cardinals see Jay in their center field plans over the next two season. He has 10 homers and 16 steals in 297 games over the past two seasons, but his primary use in fantasy his as a high-average run scorer. Much of his value will be dependent on where he hits for St. Louis this season, but his batting average alone (.295 for his career) makes him worth owning in most rotisserie leagues.
