Gordon (wrist) may be limited during spring training, the Kansas City Star reports. Gorodn, who underwent surgery on his right wrist on Dec. 30, expects to be ready for Opening Day, but he'll probably reduce his workload during spring training. "I don't know if he'll be 100 percent," GM Dayton Moore said. "(Trainer) Nick (Kenney) does feel very confident that he'll be ready to go Opening Day. Will Alex get his usual number of reps early on? I can't say that's going to take place, for sure." Moore added that the team expects Gordon to participate in a number of drills, as well as live batting practice, when spring training opens, but Moore also noted that he believes manager Ned Yost will progress Gordon more slowly than he has in the past. "We'll listen to Alex. I think Alex is a good self-evaluator," Moore said. "He'll tell us where he is. And I know Nick will trust him. We'll trust Nick and Alex, together, to help us make those decisions on the field." Gordon finished 12th in the American League MVP voting last season, posting a .783 OPS with 19 home runs and 74 RBI. He also took home his fourth consecutive Gold Glove award.
