Castro's agent, Paul Kinzer, refuted reports that the Cubs' shortstop was detained for questioning in connection with a nightclub shooting in the Dominican Republic, the Chicago Tribune reports. "[Castro] was not arrested or detained or anything," Kinzer said. "He went to the police station to make sure they knew he was not involved. They told him they had video so they knew he was not involved." ESPNDeportes.com reported earlier Saturday that Castro was detained and being held at the Montecristi prosecutor's office. It now sounds like he voluntarily went to police rather than being detained, but regardless, it marks the second time in less than a month Castro has been linked to a shooting in the Dominican. He was cleared of any involvement in the first incident, but Cubs president Theo Epstein is reportedly unhappy with the 24-year-old's decision making of late.
