Wright (shoulder) has started swinging a bat, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. He will visit Mets hitting coach Kevin Long in January, presumably for an evaluation of his swing mechanics amid his recovery from a shoulder injury. He appears to be making good progress, and the hope remains that he will be ready for the start of spring training.
