McCarthy has signed with the Dodgers for what is believed to be a four-year, $48 million deal, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. On a day where the Dodgers stole the show at the Winter Meetings with all kinds of wheeling and dealing, they closed the day by getting a veteran to serve as a likely fourth or fifth starter. McCarthy seems nowhere near the pitcher he was with the A's a few years back, but he's also had injuries and has been constantly on the move. Perhaps a stable setting in a great pitcher's park with some aces ahead of him take the pressure off will get his career on course again.
