Zimmerman will move over to first base following the departure of Adam LaRoche to the White Sox in free agency. The move is hardly surprising, given Zimmerman's defensive struggles at third base in recent season and the proficiency of Anthony Rendon at the position. A hamstring injury wiped out most of Zimmerman's second half in 2014, and he'll look to rebound from a season where he hit just five homers in 240 plate appearances despite an improved strikeout rate (15.4%) and steady .280/.342/.449 line.
