The Diamondbacks agreed to trade Montero to the Cubs on Tuesday, Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com reports. The return package to Arizona is still uncertain but the Diamondbacks are expected to receive only lower-level prospects, with the Cubs assuming the $40 million remaining on Montero's contract. Montero posted a disappointing .699 OPS last season, but slashed .256/.348/.386 against right-handers and his overall line should improve while likely platooning behind the plate with Welington Castillo.
