Wieters (elbow) is on schedule and doctors say there is a "good chance" he's ready for Opening Day, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. The 28-year-old was just recently cleared to begin a light throwing program after a follow-up with Dr. James Andrews, who performed his Tommy John surgery in May. His progress in the months ahead will ultimately determine his availability for the start of the regular season, but if Wieters isn't quite ready, Caleb Joseph would likely serve as the Opening Day starter behind the plate for Baltimore.
