Wright is recovering well from his left shoulder injury but he has yet to swing a bat, ESPN New York reports. Wright may swing a bat later this month, as he is slated to start working with the Mets' new hitting coach, Kevin Long. While surgery to repair the shoulder might have been an option, the progress Wright has made to date and projection for continued and full recovery make it remote that he will need to undergo the knife.
