The Braves declined to tender Beachy (elbow) a contract, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Beachy would have been in line for only a very slight increase in salary (from 1.45 million) via arbitration after missing all of 2014 following Tommy John surgery, but the Braves ultimately decided those funds would be better allocated elsewhere. The right-hander's reconstructive elbow surgery was his second such procedure in less than two years, but the Braves do reportedly have some interest in bringing Beachy back at a reduced cost.
