Kluber has been named the 2014 American League Cy Young Award winner, ESPN.com reports. Kluber's 269 strikeouts were just two shy of David Price for the AL lead, and the 28-year-old also posted the league's third best ERA (2.44) and sixth best WHIP (1.09). His 18 wins were tied for the AL lead, further helping his case for beating out both Felix Hernandez and Chris Sale for the award. After the best season of his career, the right-hander will join southpaw Clayton Kershaw in the 2014 class of Cy Young Award winners.
