Bumgarner will start Game 1 of the World Series against the Royals on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News reports. The lefty didn't get the win in Game 5 of the NLCS, but he helped lead San Francisco to the pennant with eight innings of three-run ball against the Cardinals. Bumgarner will be on normal rest when he faces off against Royals ace James Shields, who will have gone 10 days between starts come Tuesday.
