Ortiz (wrist) may not play again this season, Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com reports. Ortiz's wrist has become inflamed as a result of a check swing earlier in the week, and he said it feels similar to how he felt when he suffered a ligament tear in 2008. At this point, the Red Sox don't think his current injury is especially serious, but they will be cautious, putting Ortiz's availability for the weekend in question.
