Cabrera (hamstring) will not play again this season, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Cabrera still has not rejoined the team since his Sept. 3 arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana, but manager Bud Black said the legal matters have not slowed his return. Rather, Cabrera simply has not progressed enough with his hamstring injury to warrant playing again this season. "Physically, his hamstring just never bounced back," Black said. Cabrera ends the 2014 campaign with a .232/.272/.300 batting line and 18 stolen bases in 90 games. He is arbitration-eligible in the offseason.
