Reds manager Bryan Price said he is hoping to have Bailey (forearm) in the rotation to begin 2015, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. "I don't think he's in jeopardy of missing any significant time during next year, if any at all," Price said. "We're hoping he'll be ready by Opening Day but if not, it should be somewhere close to it." Now close to three weeks removed from surgery to repair a torn flexor mass tendon in his right forearm, Bailey is still in a sling but has been working out at Beacon Orthopedic in Cincinnati. He faces a long rehabilitation, and his progress in the months ahead will determine whether a spot in the Opening Day rotation is realistic, but the Reds seem confident he'll be available for most of next season. In Year 1 of a six-year, $105 million contract, Bailey went 9-5 with a 3.71 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 124:45 K:BB.
