Ellsbury (hamstring) hopes to return before the end of the regular season, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports. Ellsbury suffered the injury Friday night, and it was initially believed his season may be over. While that still may be the case, Ellsbury offered up the possibility of a return before the season's conclusion. For now, the team will likely run with Brett Gardner in center, with a mixture of Chris Young, Ichiro Suzuki and Carlos Beltran in the other two spots.
