Cobb tossed six innings in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees, allowing three earned runs on four hits and three walks while recording three strikeouts. Ending a streak of 12 consecutive starts in which he allowed two earned runs or less, Cobb was not quite at top form Wednesday evening, which ultimately resulted in his eighth loss of the season. The Rays' right-hander has been one of the AL's top pitchers of the second half, posting an outstanding 1.51 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 8.5 K/9 across 77.1 innings. Cobb will likely be back on the mound either next Wednesday in Boston.
