Gee allowed three runs on nine hits, walking two and striking out four over 5.1 innings of a 4-3 win against the Nationals on Friday night. Gee (7-7, 3.80) again struggled with command of the strike zone, needing 108 pitches (71 for strikes) to record 16 outs, but his bullpen locked things down with 3.2 scoreless innings to protect the lead. He'll face the Marlins at home in his next scheduled start.
