Iwakuma tossed 5.1 innings versus the Rangers on Friday night, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and a walk while picking up five strikeouts on the way to his 14th win of the season. Iwakuma has not been close to top form lately, as the crafty right-hander has struggled to a 7.24 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over his last three starts. Despite the lackluster performance, he has managed to go 2-0 while registering a dozen strikeouts across 13.2 innings during the same short stretch. Iwakuma's slump, to some extent, can be attributed to an unfortunate .349 BABIP. The 33-year-old hurler will look to get back on track Wednesday night versus the Astros.
