Minor (6-9) took the loss Tuesday, giving up three earned runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out five over 7.1 innings against the Phillies. Minor wasn't horrible in this one, but his offense mustered exactly zero runs in front of him as the Braves' bats were shut out by Kyle Kendrick and the Phillies. Also, this was the fourth straight start the southpaw has lasted seven innings of more, an encouraging sign as the Braves push for a playoff spot in the final month of the regular season. He'll have a tough assignment against the first-place Nats in his next start Monday.
