Ellsbury (ankle) took batting practice and ran the bases prior to Sunday's game, Jack Curry of YES Network reports. Ellsbury will be held out of the lineup Sunday, but he reportedly didn't look to be favoring his ankle while taking part in the pregame activities, suggesting he could be available off the bench. The Yankees could exercise caution and deem Ellsbury unusable in the final game of the series, but with an open date in the schedule Monday, there's a good chance the center fielder will be cleared to resume regular duties Tuesday against the Red Sox.
