Lowrie (finger) took his first on-field batting practice since landing on the DL with a finger injury, Joe Stiglich of CSN Bay Area reports. Lowrie's progress is certainly encouraging, and if the session goes well, he could be cleared to begin a rehab assignment as early as Saturday.
