Gordon hit a two-run walk-off home run as the Royals defeated the Twins on Tuesday. Gordon's blast off Glen Perkins ended the Twins' shutout bid and enabled the Royals to maintain their division lead over the Tigers. The 30-year-old's overall numbers (.283 average, 16 homers, 59 RBI, eight stolen bases) wouldn't suggest that he's in the midst of the career-best season, but his 5.6 WAR on the campaign ranks right up there with leading MVP candidates Mike Trout and Giancarlo Stanton.
