Romo earned his first save since being removed from the closer's role over a month ago. He retired two batters, allowing a hit and striking out one in the win over Philadelphia on Saturday. Before owners scramble to the waiver wire to back Romo back up, it is important to note that incumbent closer Santiago Casilla was given the day off by manager Bruce Bochy after surrendering a run in three consecutive outings (none of which were save situations). Until Bochy loses faith in Casilla's ability to close out games, Romo will continue to be used in the seventh and eighth innings.
