When does my roster lock?

There are two settings for locking rosters:

  • Individually at game start—Players are locked into the lineup as soon as their game starts. This is the default setting and is used by the majority of leagues.
  • All at first game start—Players are all locked into the lineup as soon as the first game starts. For example, if there's an NFL Thursday night game, all league rosters will lock at kickoff Thursday.

Players remain locked on your roster until 6 AM ET the following day. After that, they may be cut or traded in MLB, NBA, and NHL leagues. For NFL leagues, players must stay on your roster until the following Tuesday at 6 AM ET. (The commissioner can configure this via League » Settings » Edit Transaction Options » Prevent Cuts After Game Start).
