Changing it to a 2 week playoff would be the way I'd want to go if they do not play that game.
FF should offer this option in this special case

Allow us to change playoff settings to 2 week playoffs this year. (Week's 17 & 18 combined)
To decide championship ???
If they don't offer this as an option, you can still update the scores manually.
